CIS welcomes ‘Home’

In its first 22 days, 20th Century Fox’s “Home Alone” has brought in 785.3 million rubles ($ 636,134) at the box office in the Commonwealth of Independent States.

That’s a company record in the former Soviet Union for Fox Intl., which began distributing product there last May with “Only the Lonely” in conjunction with local distrib Ekaterinburg Art.

Fox execs plan to expand the number of releases to 11 in 1994, including “Mrs. Doubtfire.”
