Seemingly ubiquitous comedian Jerry Seinfeld is looking to conquer yet another medium — interactive multimedia on CD-ROM.The top-rated TV star, best-selling author and commercial pitchman has signed a deal with Gotham-based multimedia publisher Bryron Preiss for a “Seinfeld Companion and Screen Saver” CD-ROM disc set to be released this fall. According to Preiss, the CD-ROM disc will feature a Seinfeld calendar with different material for every day of the year, including trivia about the TV show , graphic art and live videoclips. In addition, various Seinfeld images will appear for use as a computer screen saver. Preiss negotiated the deal with Castle Rock, the “Seinfeld” show’s production company, and licensing agent Marquis Images. Preiss is looking to sign a distribution deal for the Seinfeld title. The price for the CD-ROM has not been set, but retail prices for similar titles average around $ 50.
