Interactive Marketing goes East

As the burgeoning interactive industry continues to expand, Interactive Marketing Inc. has announced the Conference on Interactive Marketing/East will be held May 8-11 in Orlando, Fla.

The confab, sponsored by Sprint, will be held in addition to the Conference on Interactive Marketing/West, which is held in Scottsdale in October.

They are the only conferences covering the marketing and promotional aspects of the interactive industry. The Eastern session will examine the increasing convergence between the entertainment and advertising worlds and how they are using interactive technology.

In addition to the numerous panels that will be held, there will be a demonstration area featuring many of the latest interactive technologies.

Among the group discussions is a panel of executives from Time Warner, US West, IBM/NCC/ICTV, Microsoft and Bell Atlantic.

Other panels include one on interactive advertising, which will include speakers from Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB Needham, Wunderman Cato Johnson and CKS Partners, and at another, execs from the Paramount Licensing Group, the William Morris Agency, the law office of Silverberg, Katz, Thompson & Braun and Xiphias will discuss the art of the interactive deal.
