A 20-year-old actor who appeared in Disney’s “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit” was acquitted of two counts of rape Wednesday.
Ron Johnson, who starred as “Sketch” in the sequel, had been accused of raping an unpaid extra in one of the film set’s dressing rooms on Aug. 16, 1993. After the alleged rape made the news, a second woman came forward and charged that Johnson had raped her in 1992.
Johnson also had been charged with a third count of penetration by a foreign object. He was acquitted of that charge.
Johnson also appeared in the film “Zebrahead.”
