Maureen Noonan has been named director of creative services for Tribune’s “The Joan Rivers Show.” Noonan had been manager of promotion and public relations for Television Program Enterprises since 1987.

“This Week in Baseball” begins its 17th season this weekend to be hosted by Mel Allen, the show’s only host in its entire run.

Action Media Group has been tabbed the national ad rep for “Guess? Television ,” the weekly hour firstrun youth mag being distributed by Western Intl. Syndication for this fall.

All American Television said it’s cleared “Baywatch” on 122 stations repping 86% of the U.S. and “Acapulco H.E.A.T.” on 112 stations covering 81% of the country.

Saban Domestic Distribution said that “Mad Scientist Toon Club” has picked up 12 clearances caused by the defection of “Beakman’s World” from syndication to CBS. Stations include WTKR, Norfolk; WCYB, Tri-Cities; KLRT, Little Rock; WZZM, Grand Rapids; KVOA, Tucson and KZIA, El Paso.

Genesis Entertainment has begun the slow rollout of its half-hour reality strip, “Real Stories of the Highway Patrol” in some 30 markets.
