George Sunga has been named chairman of the show committee for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 45th annual creative arts awards presentations, the non-televised portion of the Primetime Emmy Awards. Sunga is an ATAS governor and chair of its awards committee.

HBO Downtown Prods. announced the start of production of 30 episodes of its new series “Politically Incorrect” for Comedy Central. HBO also announced production of new episodes for six other series for the comedy web: “Women Aloud ,””Short Attention Span Theater,””Stand-Up, Stand-Up,””Mystery Science Theatre 3000,””Two Drink Minimum” and “Alan King: Inside the Comedy Mind.”

“Get Smart Again: The Movie” will be released on homevid May 5 via Worldvision Home Video. A week later, distrib is releasing “Storm and Sorrow,” billed as the true story of 25-year-old mountain climber Molly Higgins.
