ABC confirmed that it will move “George” into its 8:30 p.m. Wednesday slot starting Dec. 22, while the in-house sitcom “Joe’s Life” goes on hiatus.

“George,” the Columbia sitcom starring George Foreman, initially aired at 8 p.m. Saturday but was pulled along with companion “Where I Live” after three airings.

Marvin and Barbara Davis have been named co-chairs of the Scopus Award gala Jan. 29 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The American Friends of Hebrew University event will honor talkshow host Larry King.

Prodigy has signed up six more cable networks — Court TV, the Family Channel , Lifetime, Nostalgia Network, USA Network and its Sci-Fi Channel — for its on-line service, joining 20 previously announced webs.
