KABC-TV weekend anchor Joanne Ishimine, who will celebrate her 20th anniversary with the station at the end of July, is ankling to join her husband in Chicago, station exex confirmed Tuesday.Terry Crofoot, KABC’s president and general manager, said Ishimine will leave sometime between now and the beginning of September. Ishimine, who married an executive with Lehman Bros. last year, does not have a job waiting for her, according to Crofoot. Her husband has already relocated to Chicago. “She’s done a good job for us and I’m sorry to see her go,” Crofoot said. Ishimine worked her way up through the station ranks, starting as a secretary and later becoming a news intern, reporter and anchor. KABC is looking for a replacement, but Crofoot said he is not certain if the new weekend anchor will come from within the station’s ranks.
