The “KTLA Morning Show,” the long-awaited follow-up to the top-rated “KTLA Morning News,” debuted Tuesday with so-so numbers in Nielsen and Arbitron.
It achieved a 2.2 rating/8 share in Nielsen, off from its 3.4/14 news lead-in. Arbitron showed the program with a 2.6/9, down from a 3.3/14 lead-in.
The show featuring the “Morning News” regulars only beat out gameshows on KNBC-TV and reruns of old sitcoms on KTTV and KCOP, according to Nielsen. Arbitron had the local program ahead of KNBC, “Vicki!” on KCAL-TV and a cartoon and sitcom on KCOP.
