Di Bona pacts with Panacea on interactive

Vin Di Bona Prods. has inked a deal with Panacea Entertainment to exploit interactive media and other video applications for its “America’s Funniest” library.

Panacea will exclusively represent the material, which includes Di Bona Prods.’ “America’s Funniest Home Videos,””America’s Funniest People” and “Animal Crack-Ups.”

The arrangement theoretically would allow consumers with access to the technology to create their own games drawing from the Di Bona library. The producer said it’s unclear how large that market will be but noted that an enormous library of modular visual material can be made available.

Panacea, headed by Eric Gardner, is a management outfit whose clients include Elvira (Cassandra Petersen). The company has been experimenting with various forms of interactive entertainment.
