Wind Dancer Production Group has signed Billy Riback — supervising producer on its ABC hit “Home Improvement”– to an exclusive multiyear deal to develop both television and movie projects for the company.

Riback will also continue to serve as a consultant on “Home Improvement” and on the next Wind Dancer series.

The company — whose principals are Matt Williams, David McFadzean and Carmen Finestra — entered into a unique two-series pact with ABC last November that renewed the sitcom into 1996 and called for the development of two additional series.

Riback, who’s also a stand-up comic, began his association with Williams on the NBC series “Carol & Company” as a writer and joined “Home Improvement” when the show was launched last season.

Wind Dancer has recently brought about Elliot Shoenman and Bob Bendetson as co-exec producers on “Improvement” next season, to allow the principals to focus more attention on developing new projects. Disney will distribute both of the new series.
