Veteran political reporter Linda Douglass, who announced she was leaving KNBC-TV back in November, has landed at CBS News as a general assignment reporter based at the web’s Washington, D.C., bureau.Douglass originally worked for the Eye Web between 1981 and 1983. She joined KNBC in 1985 and most recently anchored the station’s coverage of the California primary and did in-studio analysis on election night. She also reported from all along the presidential campaign trail. Douglass announced in November that she would leave KNBC to join her husband, John Phillips, in Washington, D.C. Before joining KNBC, Douglass was the political editor at KCBS-TV from 1983- 85. She starts with CBS Monday.
