B’cast shrine to add Arledge

ABC News prez Roone Arledge will be inducted into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame March 21 at the National Assn. of Broadcasters annual convention.

Arledge was head of ABC Sports before taking the reins at ABC News in 1977. He’s credited with creating “Monday Night Football,””ABC’s Wide World of Sports, “”Nightline” and “20/20.”

The NAB confab runs from March 20-24 in Las Vegas.
