It was a busy day at the William Morris Agency Thursday as the company promoted an agent and signed a new client.
Jean-Hughes Anglade, the French-born star of “Betty Blue” and “La Femme Nikita,” has signed on with the Morris office for representation in all areas.
He is currently working with director Patrice Chereau in the film “Queen Margot” and will make his American debut in Roger Avary’s “Killing Zoe.”
At the same time, the Morris office announced that Gaby Morgerman has been promoted to an agent in the motion picture division and will become a member of the independent film group under the leadership of Morgan Mason.
Starting her career in the WMA mailroom training program, Morgerman has been with the company since 1991. Prior to being promoted to an agent, she assisted senior VP and motion picture co-head John Burnham.
