Violet Freydberg, a vaudevillian who performed under the name Violet Singer, died in La Jolla Dec. 21.

She was 86.

She performed a musical-comedy act with her sister, Charlotte, and continued as a single performer when her sister retired.

She appeared on bills with Fanny Brice, Milton Berle, Mae West and Fred Allen.

Survivors include her sister, a son, two daughters, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
