Thomas Lindsay Fleming

Thomas Lindsay Fleming, former legit performer and stage manager, died June 18 of AIDS complications in Santa Rosa. He was 40.

Fleming, a longtime resident of the Bay Area, was active in the performing arts in San Francisco during the late 1970s, when he performed at the Magic Theatre, Eureka Theatre, Theatre Rhinoceros and Soon 3.

He wasa member of the San Francisco Symphony chorus during 1981-82 and more recently with the Oakland Symphony chorus.

Fleming later moved to Los Angeles, where he was employed by Orion Pictures as an assistant script and story editor.

He returned to the Bay Area in 1989 working in the Alameda County Library system and at the Pacific Film Archive.

Survived by his parents and two brothers.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Kenwood, Calif.
