Rudy E. Martin

Rudy E. Martin, 41, librettist, composer and playwright, died Nov. 27 in New Mexico after a long illness.

He was a consultant for PBS’ “Shining Time Station,” ABC’s “Good Morning America” and “20/20,” NBC’s “The Today Show,” and many films.

Martin was public relations director of the American Indian Community House in New York. He wrote several operas, musicals and chorales.

He was also a member of the Native Writers Circle of the Americas, the opportunity committee of the Screen Actors Guild and a contributing partner in Turtle Island Films.

Survivors include his parents, five sisters and a brother.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Indian Community House, 404 Lafayette St., 2nd floor, New York, N.Y.
