New Line Intl. has promoted Camela Galano to senior VP of sales/marketing and Nestor Nieves to senior VP of sales and administration. Galano and Nieves will report to Rolf Mittweg, New Line Intl. president.
“The substantial contributions made by Nestor and Camela have been key to the success and growth of the division,” Mittweg said. “We’re especially pleased to recognize their achievements in this way.”
Galano, who had been VP of sales and marketing since 1990, handles the sales, marketing and distribution of all New Line feature films in Europe. She was also the project manager on Gus Van Sant’s “My Own Private Idaho” and was instrumental in the acquisition of Van Sant’s latest project, “Even Cowgirls Get the Blues,” slated for domestic release in July.
In his new post, Nieves, who had been VP of sales and administration since 1991, will be responsible for theatrical, homevideo and television sales for Latin America, Spain and the Far East (excluding Korea). In addition, he manages administration of contracts, servicing and personnel for the division.
