Hugh Wedlock Jr.

Hugh Wedlock Jr., screen, radio and television comedy writer, died Dec. 13 of a heart attack.

He was 85.

Wedlock wrote for such stars as Jack Benny, Jack Oakie, Edgar Bergen and Eddie Cantor. He also wrote for “Laugh-In.”

Survivors include his daughter, two sisters and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Assn.
