Hank Wylie, 42, product development manager, urban, at Uni Distribution, drowned in a swimming accident Aug. 1 in Hanalei Bay, Hawaii.
Before joining Uni, Wylie was regional marketing director, West Coast, at MCA Records. Before that he was regional sales manager at Motown Records.
Wylie was a co-founder and board member of the L.A. Music Relief Committee, which was formed by record industry execs to collect and disburse aid to local record retail businesses damaged during the 1992 riots in L.A.
Survived by his fiancee, Mona Lassiter. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in the Old North Church at Forest Lawn Drive, Hollywood Hills.
