Susan Solomon has joined Andrews Group Inc. as executive vice president. She will develop strategies and investment opportunities in connection with Marvel Entertainment.

Robin Schorr, Sandollar Prods.’ director of development since last March, has been upped to VP of development at the production company. Before joining Sandollar, Schorr worked for a year as manager of movies for television at Fox Night at the Movies. She also served as director of development for Winona Ryder’s 20th Century Fox-based Dreamlover Prods.

MGM/UA Home Video has hired Michael Lennox as manager of sales and marketing. He will report to Mindy Phillips, VP of sales. Lennox will be responsible for national promotions and marketing campaigns in relation to MGM/UA’s library of sell-through product. MGM/UA Home Video also has hired P.J. Ebert as a customer service representative.

Janet S. Blake has been promoted to VP, writer development & special projects , at Walt Disney Network TV, responsible for finding new writing talent for Disney and Touchstone TV. She joined the studio in 1988.

Hope Wintner has been appointed director of national promotions for the motion picture group at Paramount Pictures. She’ll be responsible for national and corporate promotions on Par pix. She previously was with Coca-Cola in Atlanta.

Bruce G. Pottash has been named senior VP, business affairs and legal, Paramount Pictures Domestic Television Division. In addition, Robert Mendez has been promoted to executive director, business affairs, and Cynthia Teele has been promoted to director of legal.

The National Informercial Marketing Assn. has named Helene Blake its first executive director. Blake, who has served as staff director of the D.C.-based trade org since October 1991, assumes the new post immediately.

Dan Lovinger has been promoted to New York sales manager at Turner Program Services, where he will have primary responsibility for advertising sales efforts for the Turner Broadcasting syndication wing. Lovinger previously was an account executive.
