David Kennedy has been appointed VP, programming, for Reg Grundy Prods. in New York. Kennedy, previously with Taft Entertainment, will be responsible for development and sale of dramatic and light entertainment programs.
E.W. Scripps Co. named Douglas R. Stern to succeed Robert Roy Metz as president and chief executive of its United Media unit. Stern was president of L.A.-based National Research Group, a leading provider of market research for the motion picture industry. Metz will serve as chairman of United Media until he retires next year.
