Bobby Hoffman

Veteran casting director Bobby Hoffman died Dec. 13 in Hollywood of natural causes.

His age is unknown.

In Hollywood he studied at the Actor’s Lab with Joe Papp and Marilyn Monroe. He went on to become dialogue coach for Glynis Johns and began his 13-year association with Jerry Paris, Gene Reynolds, Gary Nelson, Garry Marshall and Jerry Bolson at Paramount, Disney and Fox studios.

Hoffman was casting director for “Happy Days,””Laverne and Shirley” and “Mork and Mindy.”

He was also West Coast casting consultant for ABC-TV Daytime Drama.

Hoffman received an Artios Award from the Casting Society of America on Oct. 19.

Survivors include a son and several aunts.
