Betty Lamm, longtime CBS publicist, died Jan. 10 in Los Angeles of cancer.
Born in Mankato, Minn., Lamm graduated from Mankato State College and in 1945 came to Los Angeles, where she attended the Wright-McMahon Academy in Beverly Hills.
Lamm was employed briefly by several publicity firms before joining the publicity staff of KNX more than 40 years ago. Five years later she moved to the Hollywood publicity department of the CBS Television Network, where she remained for the rest of her career.
A member of the Publicists Guild of America, she retired in 1986, the year she won the Guild’sLes Mason Award. She was also a member of the Hollywood Women’s Press Club.
Survived by a sister, Helen.
Funeral services will be private.
