Bernice Garson Slater

Bernice Garson Slater, 69, former Sacramento broadcast executive and political reporter, died Aug. 10.

The cause of death was not reported.

Slater was vice president of Hercules Broadcasting Companies, which at one time owned KRAK and KEWT radio in Sacramento and two Washington state radio stations.

She was general manager and state Capitol reporter for the two Sacramento stations.

Survived by two sons and a foster daughter and three brothers.
