Witt-Thomas and Witt-Thomas-Harris Prods. confirmed yesterday that Gary Levine has been named prexy of its new TV wing as part of an expansion in the area (Daily Variety, Dec. 15).
The expected appointment was revealed along with the promotions of Susan Palladino to exec VP, David Himelfarb to senior VP and Peter Aronson to veepee of the companies.
Formation of the TV wing follows the establishment of a film division headed by prexy Stuart Oken last March, the same month the companies concluded an overall film and TV deal with Warner Bros. As part of the WB deal, the production entity is developing a John Larroquette pilot for NBC.
Levine most recently served as vice president of dramatic series development for ABC, while Palladino has been veep of production for the company since 1989. She signed on in 1979.
Himelfarb has been vice president of development for the companies since ’89. He previously served as director of development at Warner Bros.
Aronson has been director of development at Witt-Thomas since 1990 and was also producer of its Fox series “Woops!”
