Karen Miller has joined Worldvision Enterprises in the newly created position of senior VP, programming, responsible for first-run development as well as acquisitions to augment the company’s library.
She joins the New York-based distributor after serving as VP of programming for the CBS Television Stations division since October 1990. Miller will continue to be based in Los Angeles, working out of the offices of Worldvision parent Spelling Entertainment.
Worldvision hasn’t been particularly active in recent years in terms of first-run development after such short-lived strip efforts as “After Hours” and “Wake, Rattle & Roll.” The company does have a strong distribution presence, however, thanks to Spelling product.
Miller was involved in developing the CBS stations-Columbia Pictures TV talkshow “Cristina.”
