Lucy Johnson has been elevated to VP, daytime programs and non-network special projects, at CBS Entertainment, expanding her responsibility to include developing daytime programs for firstrun syndication as well as the network.

With the promotion, Johnson, who has been VP of daytime at CBS since May 1989 , becomes the web’s second executive to take on specific oversight for syndicated development — along with VP of late night and non-network programming Rod Perth, who she’ll work with on firstrun projects.

CBS has been the top-rated network in daytime for nearly four years.

Prior to joining CBS, Johnson was an independent producer at Lorimar and an exec at the company. She also served as head of daytime and children’s programs at NBC from 1981-83.

Both Johnson and Perth still report to CBS Entertainment president Jeff Sagansky.
