Tara Crocitto has been upped to veepee in charge of developmentfor the Stan Winston Studio, where she has been a production coordinator since 1990. Crocitto will locate and develop creative projects and potential business opportunities for the company. She will also act as a project development liaison between SWS and the recently formed Digital Domain. Winston created such characters as the Endoskeleton and Cyborg in “Terminator” and “Terminator 2,” the Queen creature in “Alien,” and the live-action dinosaurs in “Jurassic Park.”

Hamilton S. Cloud II has been named VP of QDE, Quincy Jones-David Salzman Entertainment Co., overseeing firstrun, special-event and interactive TV programming. Cloud was VP of production at Playboy Entertainment Group and before that an exec at NBC. Television VP Debra Langford will continue to oversee network development and production for QDE.

Casey Lanken has been promoted to VP, Midwest sales, at Samuel Goldwyn TV. He’ll continue to oversee regional TV syndication sales for such shows as “American Gladiators” and “Why Didn’t I Think of That?”

Michael Carson, former VP for TV sales reps Harrington, Righter & Parsons, has been named VP/general manager of WHDH-TV in Boston. Joel Cheatwood, VP of news for WSVN-TV, Miami, has been appointed senior VP of news for Sunbeam TV Corp., parent company of both stations.
