In the latest round of executive hirings at Permut Presentations, Christopher Eisenberg has been named the company’s newest development VP and Lisa Alden has been designated director of development.
Eisenberg, who replaces outgoing development VP Suzanne Rothbaum, will be working with recently appointed development VP Steve Rabiner.
According to Permut, Rothbaum has ankled her company post to serve as co-producer on Permut Presentations’ “Nathan Cavaleri” project, which is currently being developed. While Permut would not elaborate on Rothbaum’s sudden departure, several sources insist that the executive was shown the door by Permut.
Like Rabiner, whose past experience includes working as an attorney, Eisenberg worked at the law firm of Hill, Wynne, Troop & Meisinger. In addition, he held VP posts at both Gruskoff/Levy Productions and Tapestry Films.
Alden, who started her career with Tony Bill at Market Street Productions as a reader, also served as a story editor for director John Herzfeld. Most recently she was a story editor for director Steve Barron (“Coneheads”).
Permut Presentations’ next film to go into production will be the New Line action-adventure, “Surviving the Game,” which will roll August 1 in Washington state and will be directed by Ernest Dickerson and star Ice-T and Rutger Hauer.
