Carlton Communications, the media conglomerate that owns Technicolor and British broadcaster Carlton TV, has promoted June de Moller to the post of managing director.
At the same time, Technicolor CEO Thomas Epley has been elevated to the Carlton board, with operational responsibility for video and film services.
Completing the reshuffle, Carlton TV CEO Nigel Walmsley has been given overall responsibility for all the group’s broadcasting and software businesses, which include video distrib Pickwick as well as the TV station.
De Moller replaces Keith Edelman, who left last month to join retail chain Storehouse. She previously was responsible for strategy and business development.
Welcoming Epley onto the board, Carlton chairman Michael Green said, “A significant proportion of our earnings are derived from the United States. Tom brings to the board extensive experience of this marketplace and of running a multinational business.”
