The laboratory, cinema and European video processing units of Britain’s Rank Organisation are getting new toppers, prompted by the pending retirement of two senior execs.
Phil Clement becomes president and CEO of Rank Film Laboratories worldwide, effective Oct. 1 He replaces Jim Downer, who retires early next year.
Additionally Clement will continue in his present role as president of Rank Video Services, which has plants in Chicago, Hollywood and London.

Clement will continue to be based in L.A. and will report to Rank film and TV division chief Jim Daly.
Concurrently, Dave Cuyler is being upped from exec VP and general manager to president of RVS America, based in Chicago.
Hugh Corrance, Rank Video Services Europe managing director, is moving to take the helm of the Rank Odeon circuit, Britain’s second largest. Corrance succeeds Laurie Clarke, a 40-year Rank veteran, who is retiring.
Corrance becomes managing director of the circuit Sept. 15, and Clarke will stay on as a director until next April.
At RVS Europe, operations manager Peter Pacitti is being upped to director and general manager, effective Sept. 15.
Trevor McCurdie is being upped to managing director from general manager of Rank Film Laboratories U.K.
