David Bishop has been promoted from senior VP and generalmanager to prexy and chief operating officer of Live Home Video.

“In the last couple of years we’ve been on a course to be more responsive to our customer needs,” Bishop said, “and we will continue with that focus and the subtle changes that happen in the marketplace.”

Bishop has been with the homevid division of Live Entertainment since 1991.

Live Home Video emerged from a pre-packaged bankruptcy earlier this year, and “we’re looking ahead for bigger and better results in ’93-94,” said Bishop.

Lineup includes more specialized product, including product from the company’s recent deal with Miramax and titles like “The Piano”; “Mother’s Boys,” with Jamie Lee Curtis; and “Tom & Jerry: The Movie.”
