ABC has promoted two top research executives, upping Richard Montesano to senior VP, market research, and Larry Hyams to VP, audience analysis, both reporting to recently appointed exec VP of research, marketing and promotion Peter Chrisanthopoulos.

Montesano had been VP of market research since 1986 and will continue to oversee marketing and sales research.

Hyams had been VP, prime time audience analysis, since last year, and will be responsible for all analysis of prime time and sports ratings.
