EMI Records Group yesterday confirmed that former executive VP/general manager Daniel Glass will become its new president.
Glass’s ascendance was expected in the wake of Charles Koppelman’s elevation to chairman and chief executive officer of the newly restructured EMI Records Group North America (Daily Variety, Jan. 7).
Glass will now head all divisions of EMI Record Group, which includes SBK, EMI and Chrysalis Records, a job Koppelman formerly held.
Additionally, Terri Santisi, EMI Records Group executive VP and general manager, will broaden her operations role to include the labels formerly under the purview of outgoing Capitol-EMI president Joe Smith.
Santisi will work with Koppelman to oversee operations at EMI, SBK, Chrysalis and the newly added Capitol, Liberty, Capitol-EMI of Canada, Angel, Blue Note, Capitol-EMI Latin, CEMA Distribution and manufacturing.
