Columbia TriStar Home Video will release Woody Allen’s “Husbands and Wives” April 7 on homevideo, laserdisc and 8mm. The Allen vid, which co-stars Mia Farrow, Sydney Pollack and Judy Davis, will be available in a close-captioned version.

No price was announced for the video, but it will be a rental title in the $ 90 price range, per the company. Suggested list for the laserdisc is $ 34.95.

Andrew Solt Prods. has obtained a waiver from the Federal Communications Commission to sell “The Ed Sullivan Show” as a weekly half-hour series in prime access on network affils. The series is currently airing as a one-hour syndie series on indies and network affils.

The Fox Children’s Network has ordered its first live-action series, “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” to air Monday-through-Friday starting next fall as part of the weblet’s morning kidvid block. The show, about five super-powered teenagers, is produced by MMPR Prods. and distributed by Saban Entertainment.
