A 30-hour “laugh-a-thon” featuring Tom Arnold and Jay Leno raised more than $ 50,000 for Midwest flood victims.
Arnold opened the show at the Improv comedy club at noon Friday, and was followed by comedians such as Leno, Rosie O’Don-nell, Franklin Ajaye, Roseanne Arnold and Steve Kravitz.
Budd Friedman and Mark Lonow, co-owners of the club, presented a check for $ 50,000 to the American Red Cross Saturday night.
They said that figure was not the total amount raised. They plan to present more money to the Red Cross today, but the final tally was not immediately known.
