Disney chairman Michael Eisner will deliver the keynote address at the 38th annual Broadcast Promotion & Marketing Executives and Broadcast Designers’ Assn. Conference & Exposition, which has been skedded for June 13-16 in Orlando, Fla.

Eisner has been slated to speak at the opening sesh on June 13, addressing the theme of this year’s confab: “Mandate for the ’90s: Change Demands Innovation.”

BPME prez James Chabin, noting the role of promo and marketing exex has “changed dramatically,” said Eisner’s involvement in the conference “sends a clear message that the future of our profession depends on the creative implementation of new ideas which will ultimately have a positive impact on the bottom line.”

More than 70 panels, hands-on workshops and roundtables will deal with both domestic and international topics such as revenue building opportunities, partnership marketing, value-added promotions, station image campaigns and technological advances.

As usual, syndicators will unveil campaigns for new and returning series at the convention.
