‘Follies,’ ‘Jam’ to end B’way runs

Two major musical hits will shutter over the Labor Day weekend, while the wandering revival of “My Fair Lady” starring Richard Chamberlain has found a Broadway home.

Despite rave notices for Larry Gatlin and Mickey Rooney, along with the best efforts of company members, who have been showing up daily at the discount TKTS Booth to commandeer customers, “The Will Rogers Follies” will end its run at the Palace Theater.

The show won the 1991 Tony Award for best musical.

“Jelly’s Last Jam,” which won Tonys for Gregory Hines, Tonya Pinkins and lighting designer Jules Fisher in 1992, will close at the Virginia.

“My Fair Lady,” on the road since April, will alight at the Virginia in time for the holidays, according to sources close to the production. Previews are slated to begin Nov. 25, with an official opening Dec. 9.
