Enright wins top Oz writers award

Nick Enright won the major award at this year’s Australian Writers’ Guild Awards for his theater education play “A Property of the Clan.”

Best adapted screenplay went to David Holman for “No Worries” and original TV script went to Ian David “Joh’s Jury.”

Penny Chapman, head of drama at the Aussie Broadcasting Corp., was given the Dorothy Crawford Award for her contribution to the profession. Awards were held here July 24.
