Trans Pacific plans ‘Varoom’

Indie production company Trans Pacific Films is revving up its development slate, buying “Varoom,” a comedy about a haunted motorcycle.

The script, by David Engelbach and John Wolff, is about a lawyer who feels he has lost touch with his manhood and ends up buying an antique motorcycle with a mind of its own.

Engelbach is a vet writer and producer, having penned “Over the Top” and “Death Wish II” for the screen and the pilot for “Lottery!” and episodes of “MacGyver,” among shows for television.

Wolff co-wrote the Fox vidpic “Frankenstein: The College Years.” Both writers were repped by Writers & Artists Agency.

Three-year-old Trans Pacific is headed by producer Jonathan Taplin.
