‘Temp’ totes R, ‘Bear’ snares PG-13

Paramount Pictures’ “The Temp” received an R rating and 20th Century Fox’s “Jack the Bear” received a PG-13 in the 1,252nd ratings bulletin from the Motion Picture Assn. of America’s Classification & Rating Administration.

Of the 12 titles rated, five movies rated R, four rated PG-13 and three movies rated PG.


“The Story of Qiu Ju” (Sony Pictures Classics; “for some language”).

“Tough Cookies” (Concorde Pictures; “for mild violence and language”).

“Trusting Beatrice” (Castle Hills Prods.; “for sensuality and language”).


“The Abyss Special Edition” (20th Century Fox; “for language and some scenes of action”).

“Ed and His Dead Mother” (ITC Entertainment Group; “for sensuality, comic horror action and language”).

“Jack the Bear” (20th Century Fox; “for elements of theme, and for some terror”).

“Mortal Sins” (ITC Distribution Inc.; “for scenes of violence”).


“The Big Bet” (Spectradyne Inc.; “for strong sexuality, and for language”).

“Just Another Girl on the I.R.T.” (Miramax Films; “for language and sexuality”).

“My Samurai” (Imperial Entertainment Corp.; “for violence”).

“The Temp” (Paramount Pictures; “for language and scenes of violence”).

“Trouble Bound” (ITC Entertainment Group, Ltd.; “for violence, language and sexuality”).
