After two years of acquiring and developing scripts, Snow Leopard Prods. Inc. has inked its first feature film development deal with Warner Bros.’ New Family Entertainment Division.
The tentatively titled “A Piece of the Sky” will be co-produced with Esparza/Katz Entertainment. It was written by John Mantley and it is about a boy’s journey during the Civil War.
The Toluca Lake production company is involved in several other Mantley-scripted projects: it optioned a film script, “Enemy Without a Face,” a love story set against a World War II backdrop; secured worldwide television rights to his science-fiction bestseller, “The 27th Day”; is developing “Sierra Blue,” his new television pilot starring Robert Wagner; and is negotiating for the pilot and 26 episodes of one of his Western anthologies.
Other film and television projects include the George Saunders/John Bryant-penned action-adventure “Custody,” to be directed by Alan Goldstein; “The Masterpiece,” a romantic comedy written by Bob Zeschin and starring Cirque du Soleil aerialist, Vladimir; and an MOW suspense thriller “Silence,” written by Michael January.
