Colpix has shifted the openings of a pair of Castle Rock Entertainment movies , moving “Needful Things” from Aug. 11 to Aug. 27, and “Josh and S.A.M.” from Aug. 27 to Aug. 20. The moves were reportedly made to ensure that the two titles would build momentum going into the Labor Day weekend.

Lockett-Palmer Recordings has released “In Nobody’s Shadow,” containing 19 songs by Babbie Green, performed by 17 artists. Green, the daughter of actress Betty Furness and Hollywood music arranger Johnny Green, recently became the first recipient of the Johnny Mercer Songwriter Award. Lockett-Palmer was created in 1992 to record lost Broadway scores and will release the tuner “Her First Roman” later this year.

Former “Designing Women” producer Linda Bloodworth-Thomason and star Delta Burke have confirmed negotiations to collaborate on a new sitcom under the Thomasons’ multiseries deal with CBS. The show, which could end a much-publicized feud between the parties, would feature Burke as a congresswoman. Bloodworth-Thomason’s last CBS series, “Hearts Afire,” was set in D.C. initially but will move to a small-town setting in the fall.
