E! Entertainment Television will present a one-hour special on “Jurassic Park” today at 8 p.m., repeating throughout the week. Hosted by Michael Castner, spec will take a look at how the movie was made and Universal’s marketing strategy.

The Groundlings will offer a performance Wednesday to benefit the Elliot Schreiner Memorial Parents’ Waiting Room Fund at L.A. County- USC Medical Center. Yeardley Smith, Julia Sweeney and Lynn Stewart will be among the guest performers, with tickets priced at $ 20.

Kiki Miyake’s New York-based production/acquisition company, Little Magic Prods., has picked up Wim Wenders’ “Faraway, So Close!” and Robert Altman’s “Short Cuts” for Amuse Video in Japan. Magic also acquired the Spelling Entertainment package “The Young and the Restless” for Amuse Video.

Singer/pianist Michael Feinstein will be honored at a dinner to benefit the Los Angeles Center for Living on June 28 at Cafe Morpheus. He is recognized for the time he has given to raise money for AIDS-related causes. The honorary committee for the event includes Kathy Bates, Richard Gere, Amy Irving, Lily Tomlin, Liza Minnelli and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Columbia TriStar Home Video will launch “Groundhog Day” starring Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell on Aug. 25. “Groundhog Day” will be available in the VHS, Beta, laserdisc and 8mm formats with a suggested retail price of $ 34.95.
