Writer/producer George Stevens Jr. yesterday announced the production team for the American Film Institute Life Achievement Award salute to Elizabeth Taylor, scheduled for March 11 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Hosted by Carol Burnett, the gala will be broadcast by ABC.

The American Film Institute Life Achievement Award recognizes an individual whose work “has advanced the art of film and stood the test of time.”

Joining Stevens on this year’s production will be writer Stephen Pouliot, director Allan Kartun, associate producer Michael B. Seligman, production designer Ray Klausen and editor/director Catherine Shields.

Stevens created the Life Achievement Award, which he produces annually.

Writer Pouliot is a new addition to Stevens’ production team. His credits include HBO’s “The Presidential Inaugural: An American Reunion” and ABC’s “An Evening With Bette Midler and Friends.”

Emmy winner Klausen returns to the production after a hiatus. He has worked on 13 previous AFI tributes.
