As reported in the current Variety, among the cast members being bruited for the project are Tim Roth, Harvey Keitel, Michael Madsen, Matt Dillon, John Travolta, Daniel Day-Lewis, Bruce Willis and Amanda Plummer.
Under terms of the deal, Miramax will hold all worldwide rights to the three-story “Pulp Fiction” anthology, a contemporary, urban black comedy centered on the criminal element.
The deal is the first major acquisition by Miramax since the company was sold to Walt Disney Co. in April. The pic was originally in development at TriStar Pictures, which placed it in turnaround in May.
“Pulp Fiction” will begin a 50-day Los Angeles shoot in September.
