Dan Halsted has been elevated to senior VP of production for Hollywood Pictures, where he will continue to oversee movie projects in development and production.

Halsted has served as VP, production, joining Hollywood in February 1990. He has guided such pix as “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle,””Encino Man” and “The Distinguished Gentleman.”

Among his current projects are an untitled new Patrick Swayze movie, due out this summer, and “Joey Coyle,” which stars John Cusack and is set for release this year.

Prior to joining Hollywood, Halsted was an agent at United Talent Agency (formerly Bauer Benedek Agency).

He initiated his entertainment career in 1984 working for Scott Rudin at 20th Century Fox.
