DGA graduates 17 assistant directors

The Directors Guild of America producers training program announced the graduation of 17 assistant director trainees Wednesday.

The graduates completed 400 days of on-the-job training as second assistant directors for a wide range of films and TV projects, including “The Fugitive, “”Jurassic Park,””In the Line of Fire,””Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman.”

They also attended more than 30 seminars on film and TV production.

Graduates are Scott Bryant, Pamela Cederquist, Ron Dempsey, Clare Durand, Suzanne Geiger, Hilarie Jutras, Kristin Killey, David McWhirter, John Morse, Eric Oliver, Jono Oliver, Fred Roth, Elena Santabella, Lisanne Sartor, Roger Sanders, Christine Tope and Susan Walter.

All 17 are eligible for membership in the DGA. They will be honored at a graduation dinner Aug. 29 at the Empress Pavilion.
