In the latest executive promotion at Warner Bros., Robert Brassel has been elevated to senior theatrical production VP, the companyannounced Thursday.
Coming from a veep post similar to that held by Diana Rathbun, Brassel joins fellow senior veeps William Young and the recently appointed Tom Lassally on that tier, and will continue to work with new filmmakers, the company said.
Brassel recently worked on the film adaptation of Anne Rice’s novel “Interview With a Vampire” and the upcoming “The Fugitive,” starring Harrison Ford.
Worldwide production prexy Bruce Berman, to whom Brassel will still be reporting, called his new senior exec “an energetic and insightful production executive whose many contributions have enhanced the success of our feature films.”
Brassel joined WB in 1986 as an exec assistant to former WB production prexy Mark Canton. A production VP since 1990, Brassel has been involved with pix like “The Mambo Kings.”
